1. Peel the potatoes
2. Chop 1-2 shallots
3. Sautée softly the shallots in butter+oil
4. Put aside the shallots
5. Grate the potatoes
6. Heat some butter with oil in a non-stick pan or iron pan.
7. Add 500g grated potatoes into the pan, add salt, then add shallots, again another 500g grated potatoes into the pan , add salt and press it a bit with a spatula
8. Sautée for 10min. on medium heat
9. Flip the Rösti to another plate, then add a knob of butter to the pan
10. Carefully glide the Rösti back to the pan. Cook for another 15-20min. After 10min. add a lid. And reduce it to low heat.
